+ Good economy - electric & water - features & reduced time cycles

- Not a very obvious user guide - just a sheet including all the installation info

+ A replacment for a previous machine, much quieter and quicker cycles, larger drum, simple choice of cycle for those of us who only ever use 2 settings on a washing machine. It's coping well with daily nappy washes. It was recommended by mother-in -law, passed on recommendation to brother in law so a family of happy bosch owners.

+ The machine is easy to use and has lots of different options for wash cycles. Its very sturdy and you get the feeling that it has been well built.
Having kids in the house one of the good features is the key lock function.
Different spin cycle options let yo have a greater level of control on each wash.
Overall a very efficient and extremely quiet machine.

+ A good choice of programmes to suit every need. The timings can be reduced or increased depending on type and size of load. The temperatures are true and spin cycles can be altered to suit type of load. Good cleaning results too.

- The machine is noisy even after foot adjustments and has an annoying alarm when the washing cycle has finished. The cycle touch pads and computer type readings may easily be broken as they are very sensitive to touch. Push buttons are more robust.

+ It is too early to comment fully. So far it has worked extremely well and we are very pleased with it. However, the test will be how long it continues to perform well without breaking down. Ask us again in a year or two!

- The delicates programme is not as gentle as on our previous machine.

+ Easy to use and no vast instruction manual provided. Very quiet and fast wash cycle times.

- Can quite easily be accidentally stopped in the middle of a wash cycle (middle duaghter turned it off thinking the dishwasher alarm was in fact the washing machine) and you then have to sart it all over again as it doesn;t seem to remember where it is the cycle. Finish alarm is a bit persistent and annoying but I suppose it does make you empty it and hang out the clothes.

+ The build quality is excellent, it is very easy to use, the cycle times are quick and it is handy to be able to change the spin cycle. There are helpful functions and not too many to choose from. Also, it looks pretty good and is fairly quiet to run. Overall, we are extremely happy with the purchase.

- The instruction manual is almost non-existent. It's not really needed because the machine is fairly self-explanatory, but it would be helpful to have a bit more guidance on using some of the functions. The installation instructions are too brief and are based on the assumption that you are connecting the machine directly to a tap, which I found rather confusing!

- Most of the cycle times are over an hour, some are 2! But you have the option for a quick wash at 30-40, so not all bad.

- Difficult to fit into recesss, previous machine had wheels at the back, lifted the front edge and rolled into position, this one has feet front and back. Rollers make the machine too high for available space. Not happy with cold fill only it cannot be economical to have a tank of hot water already heated and then fill your washer with cold water to be heated by electricity

+ Because we have several friends who have had Bosch products for several years with no problems, we bought Bosch for the reliability of the product. The machine is easy to operate with a good visual display of the controls, and has an easy to use built in timing feature to allow use with economy 7. It is quiet and does not vibrate through the spin cycle and has a triple A+ economy rating.

- Probably some wash cycles are a bit long otherwise the machine is good.

+ It washes the clothes really well. I like to be able to see, how long the wash will take and how much time is left to run. Nice to have an eco-friendly machine. The door is big and opens completely, which gives you easier access.

+ Simple to use. Cycle is 1h 14 minutes. Clothes quite dry when they come out.

- Door is a bit insubstantial. Drain point for filter is very close to the floor - difficult to collect the water that comes out.

+ This product is easy to use. It defaults to a lower water setting thus saving energy. It has a 1200 spin cycle which leaves the washing drier than our old model, but is much quieter than our old one. It has a large drum, allowing it to be easily loaded.

- Haven't found any yet, although, as this is a replacement for an earlier model, I can foresee that the removal of the filter will be as akward being too near the ground to effectively place a tray under it to catch leakage, and the dispensing tray is the same as the old one, which filled with mould over time. I have noticed that the instructions do say to keep the tray open when not in use, so I'll see what a difference this makes.

+ Very easy to use. The dial selects the cycle, one button selects the spin; it takes 15 seconds to load, put in powder and start the wash.
I also like the alarm when the wash is complete, it reminds me to take the load out instead of leaving it there to fester!

- Quite loud when spinning; although my machine is in a utility room so it doesn't bother me I can imagine this would be irritating if the machine was in a more comunial area like a kitchen.
