Score 9.0/10+ I am very pleased with this product. It is well made and is a good design. It is large, but does not dominate the kitchen which many of the large Fridge - freezers do.

Score 7.0/10+ The fridge freezer looks stylish and the storage compartments are great. Everything about the storage was what we wanted in a fridge freezer. We chose this particular model because of its dimensions and capacity, and the fact that it had an acoustic door alarm. In fact once we discovered that it was possible to buy a fridge freezer with a door alarm it became one of the main criteria for purchase. It seems to maintain the correct temperatures and in particular the chiller compartment is very useful.
-
The acoustic door alarm is so quiet it is almost inaudible - unless standing right by the appliance - and therefore useless.
The freezer door needs pressure to close it properly and it is too easy to leave it slightly open which causes icing up but does not activate the acoustic alarm.
The plastic shelf over the chiller which supports the fresh vegetable/ fruit drawers sags.
Considering the size and capacity of the drawers they appear to be rather flimsy unlike the rest of the appliance which is quite robust.
Bosch Customer Service was distinctly unhelpful when I asked if there was any way of increasing the volume of the alarm. They actually suggested that I tilt the fridge back slightly so that the doors would close automatically. Even if this were a sensible suggestion it would not work with the freezer door as its weight alone is not sufficient to close it fully.
When I wrote to a higher authority at Bosch it was suggested that I should go back to my retailer and choose a fridge freezer more suited to my needs. I got the feeling that Bosch could hardly believe that a customer had the audacity to question the quality of their product.
As a result of my experiences with Bosch Customer Relations Department it is extremely unlikely that I will even consider buying another Bosch product. This is my first and more than likely my last.
