Good points:
I like the lock buttons in the top left.
The favourite bar is good
Bad points:
It's a long winded and fiddly getting into files on the computer and on the phone.
The network service plays up so i sometimes receive texts very late.
It often turns off then needs to be restarted and have the batteries taken out and put back in.
The keys are very small but the slant is good.
The games are boring and you cant change any settings.
The magnetic strop which means it turns off in the case doesn't work
Internet browsing id very slow.

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
It appears to show emails & other messages very well (but as a business user and reviewing as such, this is my first experience of email)
However, I cannot say the same for composing emails
Bad points:
Having been forced to give up a perfectly usable Nokia E71 because my company only wishes to use Blackberry for email, the first thing that struck me was the appalling keypad fitted to a phone that is meant to be a company flagship.

I had always assumed that all the misspelt emails I had received from Blackberry users was simple laziness on their part. Now I can see that they have just been worn down and admitted defeat, so if the message looks like it can be understood, never mind the spelling.

The second thing that hit me was it's suitability as a simple phone; it made a half-hearted attempt to interpret the contacts held on my SIM card and has taken to splitting-up each contact (I used to be able to store business, office & private numbers for a single contact under one entry) into their separate components and when I look them up, I now see several contacts for the same person but no number detail, causing me to have to open up each one to check the content. n.b. If this is just finger-trouble on my part, I would say in my defence that the instructions from Blackberry are obscure or non-existent on this topic.

...and back to the keypad again. For the simple task of dialling a number, the placing of the numbers is a disaster and it is absolutely necessary to hold the phone in two hands while performing this task ...god knows how left-handers cope with it.

After seeing colleagues fawning over my new phone upon it's arrival, I pointed out the shortcomings to which they universally responded 'yeah, but isn't the email great?'

I have one message for Blackberry and their afficionados ...this is the Emperor's New Clothes.

Does everything it says on the tin! great looking phone, easy to use, can pick up some good pay monthly deals on it.

Can keep track on more than one email account extremley easily.
Bad points:
only had problems once or twice with software updates and this was on the first day when had too many updates for the phone to handle in one go, since then the phone has not frozen/failed once and i ue it for business all the time.
