Beko WM5410 reviews: Front Loading loading, 5kg capacity washing machine

+ Washes very efficiently on the quick wash on the low temperature. The time delay is also very useful. Although I haven't had the machine very long, at the moment I'm very happy with it.

- Before using the quick wash, I found the normal wash took a long time. OK for dirtier washing though.

+ Easy to use programmes, with a good selection of cycles to choose from. Much smaller carbon foot print than my previous machine. Very good spin cycle. Value for money with no complaints so far. However, it has become more noisy during spin cycle after only one month of use.

+ Variety of wash cycles. Very quiet. Timer delay is good; it means I can put the washing in the machine before I go to bed and set it to come on overnight when electricity is cheaper - the washing is then ready to go in the drier in the morning while electricity is still cheaper. Saves having to wait up until midnight to put my washing on!

- The drum is smaller than I expected but I am able to get a good load of washing in - I just have to make sure my son doesn't overload it! I accidentally set the child lock and wasn't able to programme the machine but my son soon sorted it out (he is a grown up son not a child!).

- Nothing really, the drum size is a little smaller than expected.

+ As a man its easy to use, cleans well, not intrested in style or looks as its just a washing machine. Does all I need it to do. It's noise level is a lot better than my last washing machine, and that was a well known brand.

- The quick cycle still takes a long time over 1 hr, To me quick is 30mins, apart from that I can't find any fault.

+ Love this machine, it's perfect for my small kitchen. Excellent number of programmes, Also like the time delay feature. Clothes come out sparkling. Apart from the 1400 spin, which is a bit louder, the machine is very quiet, so I use it mainly at night on cheaper rate electricity.

- No bad points, but it does not show progress of wash. However, the booklet gives a pretty good indication of how long each programme takes.

+ Bought this for my elderly mother, so it had to be staightforward/easy to use. Reasonably priced. Spin speeds. Drum size.

- Length of cycles - my mother thought it was faulty.
Curry's offer fitting for a reasonable fee - but would be helpful if the fitters checked the machine running and went through the basic instructions especially with elderly folk - I would pay extra as I live a distance away.
The machine did not have an instruction manual and it took me several phone calls to get one.
Beko emailed me a copy and rang my mother - talking her through the programs. My mother found this helpful. Both they & Curry's posted manuals to her.
