Good points:: Hobs heat up quickly.
Bad points:: Hobs unable to sear meat (a basic requirement of any cooker). Grill heats food unevenly burning at one end and under cooking at another.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Convection (or fan) ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven.
