Good points:: Good size and resolution screen. Flawless playback of DivX files. Can get up to 20GB solid-state storage if you can find a 16GB SDHC card which will work! (Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC cards do work)
Bad points:: Not certified SDHC compliant, so only works with a couple of models of SDHC card, but Archos won't tell you which ones work! Prone to random crashes requiring a reset of the unit. Screen not bright enough to view in bright daylight, and lacking in contrast. Web browser software not included - have to pay extra.

Good points:: very portable, very sharp images, the colour,and brightness can be altered which is handy
Bad points:: No file name to images when displayed ,it also would been nice to charge the unit without a PC
most gadgets now come with a charger.the usb cable is far to short to plug into a PC and have the unit on
the work surface at the same time
I only had the item 2 days when I had to download an update file to bring the unit back to life and reformat the drive

Bad points:: It takes too long to start up. It takes longer than the 504 to download on to and will not accept an sdhc memory card.
