+ Clear and easy to use, stylish and great colour!

- A little expensive when you look at other similar MP3 players, paying for the name and, of course, ease of using iTunes.

+ Very portable, but loads of memory.

- Battery life isn't very good; and the shuffle feature doesn't always work when you want it to!

- Limited siurces to recharge battery, i.e. only supplied with usb cable and the mains charger and portable speakers I already own will not charge a Nano 4G.

+ can have 1000's of songs in 1 little ipod love the colour

- this was a replacement as the first ipod developed a fault with the sound and wouldnt play out of one of the earphones.

+ For a technophobic like me it's easy, love the genuis option so you can pick one track and it will choose similar tracks. Can't believe how much will go on such a tiny thing. Love it.

- for some one whos not had an ipod before the instructions are limited but is quite easy to pick up.

+ i bought it mainly to use in my car and am more then pleased. i can hav a wide range of music available at all times and no longer need to hav a carload of cds! The i pod is also easier to pop into my bag and take with me then 20 plus cds

- Headphones hurt my ears so I had to buy additional squishy ones.

- Not sure if it's possible to create a new playlist besides the default one that you can add to "On the Go". This playlist is easy to add to, but I would like to separate out the chill out tunes and the get up and go tunes on two separate playlists. I may have missed the how to but don't think so. Still 9/10 it's a really good gadget.

- Would be more difficult to take into a gym, because, unlike the shuffle, it does not clip on and requires an arm band or some other kind of pocket, which I personally would find uncomfortable whilst exercising.

+ Attractive appearance, totally unblemished,sound quality excellent, if I hadnt known that it was a refurbished IPOD i would have thought it was brand new.I was so pleased with it that I recommended it to a friend who also bought one.

+ excellent value for money, i was slightly dubious at getting a re-furbished ipod but when it came in excellent conditon and no marks/scratches i was thrilled. will certainly recomend to all my friends and family.

find selecting an option of song frustrating as dial round is too sensitive and often clicks to wrong one

+ I can put on loads of music and save into different categories. I love the look of it and the ease of use, especially for a techno phobic mother! To be honest my teeenage daughter downloads the music for me and taught me how to use it. It's been great for my cycling and running.

- There is no holder or cover meaning I have to stuff in my bra and its gets all sweaty when Im doing a workout!

+ Purchased for my daughter so I haven't used much but she (aged 10) has found it easy to set up and download music, photos and games.

- Only held about 900 songs but possibly because most of my music is 80's 90's and songs longer than they are today. No instuctions for use and the apple site on internet did not hold these either. Bit annoying when first trying to work out what to do.

+ Excellent ipod and really easy to use especially as modern technology confuses me! The screen size is good and displays everything clearly. Operation is that straight forward that even a five year could use it (which she did)!

- Quite small which l thought would cause problems but actually did not hinder its use as the screen was big enough to display everything. Also bought a cover to protect from wear and tear which helped.

- The touch screen menu system is a bit too sensitive and often scrolls too quickly past the item you want.

Fantastic sound quality, especially if you get some good headphones (I haven't used the headphones provided).

+ couldnt believe how easy it was to import music and move it around

- lack of info about new accessories and cables which can be used to enhance the use eg transmitter to allow it to be played through car cd player, a basic protective cover supplied as standard would be good

+ it's so easy to use, and to find all your songs etc.The sound quality is brilliant, and its such a compact size you can carry it anywhere on yourself, and you don't relise your carrying it as its so light.
I would recommend the ipod to anyone, 8GB is just about the size i need for my songs, not much into videos,but if you where then i would go fo the 16 GB. Overall the ipod nano 8Gb is brilliant and i cannot fault it,This is the first ipod i've ever bought.

+ it is obviously a well known product and is always a product people recognise. This is my 3rd ipod and have not been disappointed. It is small and compact, but the click wheel is still easily usable.

- I think that perhaps Apple could try and get more games on the ipod to start with instead of having to purchase them threw itunes, however this is jus something minor :)

+ Had the Nano Mk3, bought this for my son for Xmas. It is even smaller and slicker with some nice touches added - like the rotate/album browse feature. As always, apple quality and thought process shines head and shoulders above the competition. Very, very neat MP£ player - still the benchmark the competition aspires to.
