- Initial set up is very tricky - once you know what you're doing it's easier. Have 3 friends who all agree with this.

+ Excellent variety of colours to suit even the fusiest of people. Very easy to operate. Can download for more songs than you can remember which then keeps everyone amused on long car journeys.

- I haven't yet found any bad points.

+ Good battery life and picture/movie display quality is excellent. Fantastic range of music selection options including pre selected playlists and the Genius function for building on the fly sound alike playlists based on the current selected music.

- Wasn't really portable until I bought a cover with a lanyard. The standard iPod earphone jack plug plastic cover is very narrow, if like me you use your own earphones you will probably have to remove the jack every time you want to insert the iPod adapter to charge the iPod or re-sync the music/pictures/movies. I have concerns that the jack socket will have problems later in life with this constant insertion/removal.

- not enough information, booklet writing is so small, i no 5 people who have recently bought one, we all share the same veiw

- For the money that you pay, I think it would be good to include some kind of case with product but appreciate that it is easy enought o purchase one separately

+ It's green, you can go out of your solitare, or 'kondalike' or whatever it is, without losing the whole game :D you can answer questions on your own songs through your ipod, can watch videos on it, bigger screen, bigger memory, shiny silver back, unlike the 2nd generation nanos, wheeeeeeeeeeey!

- should come with a protective cover velvet sleeve or something as not everyone has money to purchase accessories etc.

- The charger plug is not a good fit for the different adapters, so you have to be careful to position it correctly or it will not charge

+ I had an ipod for my 10th birthday and I think that it is brilliant. Excellent sound quality and really cool - mine is the green 8gb one.

- My mum says she likes a bargain so perhaps the price could come down slightly.

+ I found this i-pod very easy to use as a method of providing backing tracks for my guitar playing, the track finding is fast and the sound quality is great.

- The only thing I can say is I was dissapointed that it did not work well with the Apple Universal Docking Station i.e. not all the key functions on the remote worked.

- Not a great battery life compared to other MP3 makes. sometimes will crash - has to be left for the battery to completely run down before can be used. This has happened with most of my friends' ipods as well.

+ The Good point of this paticular product is that it is easy to use and self explanatry. Also i love the screen on this product it is easy to see and handle. Also i like the range of colours given. I also love the the way you can turn it on the side and the screen covers show also the fact that when you shake it it shuffles the songs.

- The bad points on this product well i have been thinking really hard about this because i have gone through every aspect of this prouct nd cannot see any downfall.

- Can't turn the sound up any louder. I know that this is not a bad thing but some music just has to be played louder than the factory setting. Also wish it had an on/off button like my shuffle.

- At first it was confusing as to how you turn off the ipod but a quick reading of the manual was enough to fix this problem!
