+ Good screen clarity, like the cover flow and the shake to advance tracks. Like all the colour options, was hard to decide which one to plummet for!

- Found it a little confusing starting up as no detailed instructions in pack. Had to search itunes help a couple of times. Have just worked out how to get the album cover art on but even still its not working as I thought it should.

+ I like my ipod as the sound quality is loud, as that is how i like it and i love the screen size and the slim look.I like the games it came with and how you can download photos e.t.c.I would deffinatly recommend it to a friend.

- Personally i think that there is nothing bad about the apple ipod 8gb but i would mention about the battery life as i have to keep charging it up regularly.

- If you have never had one before you must be told that you need to use itunes on your laptop if you don't do this you will never down load anything

- Setting up is a pain. No instructions and doesn't say anywhere that you need to download Itunes. That would have saved time & effort!!

+ it has games and quizes on the ipod which yu can play at the same time as the music. the ear plugs are quite comfortable.

- the sound isnt that loud, although it is loud enough to hear the music well.

- The battery isn't as good as i thought and well everyone i know has an ipod and they have all frozen or something gone wrong so dont want that to happen to mine, even though i have garentee on it for 3 years. But overall it is very good.

- I know that there are other MP3 players available but i-pods are the best known and the best catered for (in terms of accesories etc) and therefore it does feel a little bit choice restricted.

+ I treated myself to an Ipod Nano after speaking with a number of friends that own various models from the Ipod family.The Ipod Nano suits me extremely well,the clarity of sound is very good.

- A bit naff you only get usb connector lead instead of wall charger and it doesn't' charge with old ipod chargers.
Had to upgrade my software on my mac (to tiger from panther and upgrade to lastest version of itunes) to get the ipod to work, not a problem if you have a windows computer how ironic!.

Sound quality- amazing, - with ability to control volumn levels.
Technology - Grandma is still grappling with the fact that 7 year old grand-daughter can easily house so many tunes/photos/video clips in something so small and slim.

- Lack of instructions for middleaged technophobics.
Lack of ability to contain on the person without buying further apple goodies.
Charging was an initial issue, (had to ring relatives, possible technophobia again!) without further and easier docking station purchase.
Identability. - The white earphones identify it as attached to an ipod, which worry's me, possibly more than my children. Have seen alternative coloured earphones apparently suitable for ipods, not sure of their suitability or clarity.
Easy to loose - I suspect!

- most iPod accessories are not compatible for recharging with this product yet. It has been quite frustrating trying to find chargers and dockingstations that will charge.

+ A great product!, gone are the days where we had a mountain of c.ds next to a bulky stereo! the range of other features are good aswell. We have bought THREE i-pods so far.I think the sound quality is excellent, cant wait to fill the i-pod up with my favourite songs.I am old enough to remember the first portable TAPE CASSETTE walkman so this is absolutely fantastic. Well worth buying.

- This isnt anything bad about the product at all, but as first time users of this type of technology, we have found it difficult to download songs (this is due entirely to us) we are in the process of asking our 13 year old niece to come and work it out for us (I know, its embarrassing!) we are sure we will get the hang of it. I recommend people in same position to get somebody who knows to show you, apparantly its really easy when you know how.
