+ It looks great and has more than enough space for my music collection. The software is also easy to use.

- The battery life is fairly limited. I use it a lot, but only get about 4 days of battery power out of it at a time. The selection dial is a little too sensitive.

- keeps losing songs from memory. lost all games from memory. keeps freezing. after two weeks it stopped playing songs all together.

+ Very small and light, hardly notice that I'm carrying it around. Great colour too!

- Sometimes, depending on the orientation of the player in the pocket, it doesn't always fast forward or change the volume as you might want it to.

+ Lightweight & flexible with easy to understand controls, the sound quality is great and when attached to a quality docking station is more than a match for most hi fi combinations. Music downloads are easy too when you use i-tunes on your P.C., just import your music library to i-tunes and then drag and drop your selections into your Nano.

- Some of the docking stations will play this version of the Nano but due to a change in the configuration, not all docking stations will charge the new Nano. Be sure to check compatibility before you purchase a docking station.

+ Design is so cool -it looks great and is so portable.

- I bought it for my daughter who is 10 and while its small size is great there is one drawback in that it is easy to lose - she almost lost it in a cafe. We have bought a carrier for it to go round her neck so it would be great if that came with it or more exotically some method of tracking it would be great e.g. like being able to ring your mobile to find out where it is.

- Only compatible with its own format, not a universal MP3 but Ipod has cornered the market with a good product.

- this new version is not compatible with docking stations either old or new have been advised there is a technical issue with the most up to date model along with the IPOD touch, only able to charge them via a computer only.

+ I love my ipod nano. It's very easy to use, especially as it will connect with my kitchen stereo as well as the computer or as a stand alone device.

- When I first connected this to my computer it took about 8 hours to convert all my music (over 2000 songs) to a format that would be compatible with my ipod.

+ Ok This is an Excelt Product, having the larger screen is a great idea all thought I'm still not convinced it is big enough to regular or long time Video viewing. Forgetting this this is another excelent Music player from Apple with its very user friendly interface. The new COVER FLOW is a great and welcome addition for browsing you music library as is the doubling of the Entry level capacity 8GB.

- The main down points are the Geniese mode which descpite having 10-15 albums worth of tracks could not list a suitable tracks to follow my initial selection. the other bad point is the supossed flick of the risk the shuffle the tunes. I tried this, and found that the amount of force needed to get the iPod Nano to comply was enough too almost whip my arm out of it's socket or Knock sombody out if they had been too close. (Weather there is a sensitivity 'dial' that can be turned up, my inital foray into the settings Menue Yielded no such luck) Now to nit pick a little Apple are getting Tighter first they got rid of the CD that had iTunes on it therefore you can not use this Ipod out of the box you MUST have acces to an internt conncetion to Download The latest version of itunes( again in my opinion this is a little bit well VERY naughty) in addition to this the Length of the docking cable has decressed by about a third (sice i bought my 5G in 2005)

- I've owned Ipods and Mp3 players with much more battery life but on the other hand it doesn't take as long to charge up.

- Trying to find a docking station that will also charge the ipod at the same time is proving very difficult as this is still a relatively new ipod design.

- apple have changed it slightly from the old ipod which means that the docking station and car kit no longer work which is rather naughty and means you have to update to the new stuff

+ absolutely fantastic piece of technology. Easy to use, brilliant, clear & larger screen. Find your favourite artist/album in seconds. I will never go back to the older versions of nano ipods.

- The 4th generation ipod does not charge when used with docking system.

+ Fit's perfectly in your pocket/bag. Got a few games on to cure boredom. Can store about 2000 songs on it,,i found with the others 1000 songs was not enough! It is a tad expensive but it's worth it for the amount of music/video's/pictures it can hold. And of course the colour is great :)

- Not sure if this is the i-pod or my car stereo but i've had it set up in my car and the sound quality is not as good as you'd get from a cd.

- Would have liked a charger with it so it can be charged anywhere and not just with the usb cable.

- battery could do with longer life. I think if someone with larger fingers would find it hard to use as the 'scroll' circular movement is very sensetive.

+ everything about this nano is pleasing, it feels good to handle very tactile, small without being miniture or flimsy and a good size screne even for the short sighted.love using it.

- only one bad point, i found sound volume at its loudest not enough for me, although thats an entirely personal choice i like my music loud.the majority of users would probably find it ample.

Itunes is a great media player on the PC. Much easier than Windows media player.

You have to download the op manual from Apple website. It should come in book form with the Ipod.

+ great picture quality, you can easily watch a film despite the screen being so small, cool colour, cool features like shaking it to shuffle songs.

- Headphones don't produce great sound, but that's the usual Apple problem, and the case scratches quite easily so you need to buy a cover which can be costly.
