- Given that the world has finite resources it is reprehensible that a product such as an ipod is designed to be obselete on the expiration of the life of the battery and the consequential forced not purchase. Out of respect to the environment and not just a desire for profit a respectable organisation would ensure that the facility to replace the battery was designed in to the product and that the organisation's products are not an additional drain of the finite resources of the Earth.

+ Portability is without question, the click-wheel is easy to use and the screen resolution is fantastic.

- Perhaps the click-wheel could be larger in diameter without sacrificing the overall nano size for easier use during exercise/running.

+ The best looking mp3 player on the market to date..it is slim, sexy with the Apple brand to boot. Simple to use navigation without having to press too many buttons and I like the Genius functionality.

- Battery life is good but there are longer lasting mp3 players on the market. It still is pricey for an mp3 player. Gave sound quality 7 out of 10 because I am unsure how it measures up to other mp3 players. Sound was good enough for me though.

- Shuffling of music within individual playlists could be simpler,
You either have automatic synchronisation with iTunes on or off.

- The Itunes feature means you can only add music on one computer at a time which is a problem if you move or have hardwear difficulties.

- The headphones that come with it are really not great....you will probably need to buy a pair of decent ones to get good sound quality.

- not sure about the scratch resistance of the screen.

- No inbuilt radio which many other similar products have, ear phones aren't very good quality and battery life isn't amazing

+ Flip between portrait and landscape. Higher definition of pictures. This makes it a better machine for video than previous models but it is seriously worse for music

- Compard to my previous Nano, the battery charging connection has been changed so will not charge using the car connection fitted for my previous Nano so it cannot be left in the car making it unsuitable for this use. Tthere is no connection lead availalbe yet, i think. The volume level is less and it is not enough to convey the excitement of music. The shape makes it less easy to hold and use. the screen scratches more easily.
