- EAR PIECE THEY NEVER STAY IN MY EARS - NO ONE HAS MANAGED TO INVENT ANY THAT DO!!

- I know I'm old fashioned but I'd like a book (manual) to tell me how to use it not have to keep looking at screen help!!!!

- Very very small and light - seems fragile. Not compatible with previous Ipod version docks and devices.

+ bought for 9 year olds birthday. within minutes she had it all worked out and under control - easy!

- it would appear all docking stations hold ipods upright. when the nano plays videos you have to turn it on its side, so cannot watch whilst pod is docked (unless laying down!)

+ It is more intuitive then i expected and the functionality makes sense. It feels like a quality product and performs like one.

- Very sensitive controls that time to adapt to.

- This is my first I pod and apple make its use very restrictive. Instructions on useage are limited and I was unaware that you are really only able to link it to one pc. Bit pricy for an mp3 player - I was silly and went what I thought was the best.

- Froze in middle of a song the other day, had to get teenage son to sort out as I hadn't a clue

+ The new nano has a new feature, which allows you to shuffle songs by shaking it, but the technology has some way to go. In fact, you sort of turn it upside down and then smack it upright quickly, and that usually does it, but on the other hand it will shuffle in the middle of a song or album because it is jostled a bit. I imagine it's possible to turn this feature off, if I get around to it. It's small and sleek, but (aside from the new design) it's not much different from the nano it replaced.

- The battery life is shockingly short. I walk to and from class each day (several miles) and the battery can barely take it and often loses charge on the way home. For the cost of these extravagant little items, I would expect a slightly longer battery life.

+ Easy to use and fits nicely next to my phone in my pocket. Make sure you buy a hard case for it or you'll live in constant fear of sitting on the thing and squashing it.

- I've owned it for 2 weeks and I'm wondering if I should have either saved money and bought the 8MB version or gone the whole hog and bought an ipod Touch.

+ Easy to use and synchronises to the computer with one click. Looks great and screen is clear and easy to read. Although a gimmick the shake feature to play the first title of the next album is clever. Genius feature in iPod software is also good fun to experiment with.

- Very popular so possibility for a light fingered person to wish to acquire it must be high. 16Gb a little small if you are really into films. The iPod classic with 120Gb may be a better choice.

+ Easy to use, clear on screen facilities. Fantastic storage no cd's in car or home everything downloadable. nice to look at, hold and use.

- Originally you couldnt disable coverflow. This would make it basically inoperatable and not very portable as you can't change the volume on the move as the ipod goes into coverflow automatically when not up right. So on the move u need take it out of pocket... But this has been fixed by update 1.3 Battery is as good as nano 2nd gen (never had a 3rd gen)

+ it great and very easy to use with great features. I had a 1st generation nano for a long time only upgraded as wanted more songs to listen to. Not disappointed .It was really easy to transfer songs from old ipod to new one.

- Battery doesn't last long when using fm transmitter

+ Size, great design, very clear screen, menu navigation and general quality

- Earphone output stage shows signs of clipping when songs with lots of bass are played (Both with Apple's own earphones and high end Shure SE530's) This is not present when the same songs are played when docked in a standalone speaker docking station.

+ I really love my new ipod nano , it's so easy to use , there is so much you can do with it and never get bored , i like the way you can turn the screen and all the fun games you can get for it to , it not just for music and pics , fantastic .
