Score 9.0/10+ Loads of space. I put our entire CD collection on it and still had 50Gb leftover for video and podcasts! The coverflow is a great feature too.
- Had a few problems synchronising itunes initially but just reformatted it and resynched and it was fine.

Score 10.0/10+ This was xmas present for wife and she is very pleased with it.Very easy to use and easy to update via i tunes on computer.
- Only thing i have found is regarding updating on itunes is if you load a compilation cd on it list eack single track individually with album cover. which means when u scroll thru album covers in ipod looks like u have dupliacted album lots of times. this maybe me ! but haven't managed to find cure yet so if you know please advise.

Score 10.0/10+ Easily taken all our CDs, of which there were hundreds with lots of room to spare. Don't think we'll ever fill 80GB. display quality is excellent, and overall very impressed with it's design and all features.
- None, apart from the odd CD on our library splits each track into a separate CD, so same cover appears lots of times. Can't sort it out, but only a very minor niggle compared to how good it is.

Score 10.0/10+ Much nicer to use than the earlier models and fabulous colour display.

Score 8.0/10+ The size and features the design looks trendy and neat the size of the drive is excellent .
- Only has one round joystick type button to control everything so it is very easy to end up going round and round to achieve one thing especially if it is your first time using an ipod. I am very use to using mp3 players and other types of technology so if your not it might take you a while. The other annoying thing it would not register the files as music unless you downloaded the apple program called itunes which is not a program i like as it tends to control what you can and cannot do.

Expert reviews for Apple iPod Classic 80GB 6th Generation
TechRadar expert review
Apple doesn't make a specifically prescribed video player, but this hot-off-the-presses new generation of its flagship portable is the closest. With the entry-level capacity now 80Gb, and the top end a seemingly impossible 160Gb (more than most new laptops), it's - in a funny sort of way - the most practical video device around. The need to prepare for a journey by whittling terabytes of video down to just 20 or 30Gb of what you might fancy watching is gone entirely. With 160Gb, you're sorted for every occasion and relived of the irritations of constantly deleting and uploading.True,…

Manufacturer's Description
One size fits all.
With 120GB of storage, iPod classic is the take-everything-everywhere iPod.
One word: Capacity.
With 120GB of storage, iPod classic can hold up to 30,000 songs, 150 hours of video or 25,000 photos. That’s more than enough room for a day’s1 — or a lifetime’s — worth of entertainment.
Feed your iPod classic.
iTunes is your entertainment superstore. It’s your ultra-organised multimedia collection and jukebox. And it’s how you load iPod classic with music, videos, TV shows, games, podcasts and audiobooks.
Classic beauty.
Available in quintessential silver or striking new black, iPod classic catches your eye with its sleek, all-metal enclosure composed of anodised aluminium and polished stainless steel.
Meet a musical Genius.
Say you’re listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. With a few clicks, the new Genius feature finds the songs in your library that go great together and makes a Genius playlist for you. You can listen to the playlist right away, save it for later, or even refresh it and give it another go. Count on Genius to create a mix you wouldn’t have thought of yourself.
Watch videos.
The vivid 2.5-inch display makes video come alive. Purchase TV shows and download video podcasts from the iTunes Store, then sync them to your iPod classic to watch anywhere, anytime.
Click to enjoy.
Finding exactly what you want to watch or listen to is easy. Use the Click Wheel to browse by album art with Cover Flow or navigate your songs and videos by playlist, artist, album, genre and more. You can also search for specific titles and artists. Want to mix things up? Click Shuffle Songs for a different experience every time.
Play iPod games.
Put hours of fun at your fingertips. iPod classic comes with three games — Vortex, iQuiz and Klondike — and you can purchase games such as Monopoly from the iTunes Store. All iPod games are designed specifically for the iPod interface.
Hold everything.
iPod classic gives you 120GB of storage capacity, good for up to 30,000 songs, 150 hours of video, 25,000 photos, or any combination. And you get up to 36 hours of battery life, so you can keep on rocking for a long, long time.1
Leave no tune behind.
With 120GB of space, iPod classic means you can always have your entire music and movie library with you. Carry it from the living room to a party in the backyard. Or take it on a cross-country road trip and never listen to the same song twice.
Share your photos.
iPod classic uses iTunes to sync the photos you have in iPhoto on a Mac, or Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Album on a PC. View photo slideshows complete with music and transitions on iPod classic, or play them on a TV using an optional Apple component or composite AV cable.
Music capacity is based on 4 minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding. Video capacity is based on H.264 1.5-Mbps video at 640-by-480 resolution combined with 128-Kbps audio. Photo capacity is based on iPod-viewable photos transferred from iTunes. Actual capacity varies by content. Battery testing conducted by Apple in August 2008 using preproduction hardware and software. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced (see www.apple.com/uk/support/ipod/service/battery). Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings. See www.apple.com/uk/batteries for more information.
