+ Being of a certain age, i found it easy to use ,with there only being the one dial to navigate around.also the text is nice and clear, it also has a good solid quality feel to it.

- Nothing really bad to say, but maybe i miss a belt hook, so i can keep it out of view.

- Apple have you over a barrel. The Ipod does not come with a mains charger lead or software for your pc. Its ok if you have broadband but withoout it, it takes hour to download Itunes.

- Doesn't automatically sinc with i-tunes like a shuffle so you think you've added a CD then haven't. Is very expensive really for what it is.

+ The iPod 30GB is very easy to use, once you have had a play around for 5 minutes or so. The sound quality is excelent, video quality is superb, The iTunes system to load your songs is very easy to use and quite relyable, although not without some flaws.

- The battery life is good, but could be better. The iPod is easily scratched unless you keep it in a protective case at all times. The wheel system can get a little irritating at times (its not always acurate)

+ Song navigating is easy and intuitive and precise.
Sound quality is up there with the best.
Screen quality is excellent.

- Not really that usable as a video player due the the size of the screen.
Great pity its not bundled with a power supply which is essential if you travel abroad or use your Ipod away from home.
iTunes is not the easiest piece of software to use for the beginner. If you don't know what your doing the synchronise option makes it easy to wipe all the songs/photo's off your MP3 player; this problem is especially prevelant if you connect your iPOD to more than one computer.
Doesn't have a radio or microphone which is standard on many other MP3 players.

- The software that comes with is very difficult to operate. I would much prefer to use windows to manage the files rather than the ipod software. It seems to make a very difficult job of a very simple task.

- the sound quality of the speakers included in the promotion is very poor. You can hardly hear anything even with the volume to the maximum.

+ The amount of disk space is excellent. It is really easy to dowload tacks with the assisted software. The added extras are good and it fits easily into your pocket.

- The click wheel can be too sensitive. I was also disappointed to see how easily the case scratches.Although it a great idea to be able to watch videos on the go, realistically, the screen is too small to really enjoy them. If there was a connecting device or a cable to connect it to a TV, it would be so much better.

- Only came with 1 set of earphones which broke soon after the purchase. Needs to be sent with at least 4 pairs of such bad quality. Shame our ipod also decided not to work after a short while.

- Slightly dissapointed with battery life....but all I did was by a charger so I'm not reliant on charging through my PC.

- It crashes all the time, you can't put videos on it easily unless they are under 5mins, anything over that you have to buy a programme. It doesnt fit into pockets easily, its an immediate cry for attention -"steal me". I feel vulnerable getting it out in public. Its main bad point, its an ipod.
