Some customer reviews of Apple iPhone 3GS (16GB)
Most helpful reviewsWilliam, Halifax Business or web user
- Good points:
- Slick and easy to use. Love the app store with its wide selection and ease of use. Browsing on the internet is fluid and the email is excellent. The touchscreen is very responsive and makes gaming a joy. Overall, i would say it is avery good all rounder that i think almost everyone would be pleased with, if pure specs dont mean everything to you
- Bad points:
- It is really expensive !!!!!!!! The cameras are also not the best although they are good enough for the occasional shot on the move. The battery is also quite poor, although it normally lasts just over a day so i just charge it at night. It is also reasonably quick to charge taking 1 to 2 hours to completely fill it up. However, this does decrease dramatically under heavy app use and i would recommend turning gps off and reducing the screen brightness.

Mobile Phone Buyers GuideManufacturer's Description
iPhone 3GS. Now with even more to love.
Keep applications open in the background. Organise your apps with folders. Shop for books in the iBookstore. The 8GB iPhone 3GS takes advantage of all the great features of iOS 4.
Multitask
Now you can run your favourite third-party apps — and switch between them instantly — without slowing down the performance of the foreground app or draining the battery unnecessarily. So you can listen to a football game while emailing. Or receive a VoIP call while playing a game.
Folders
Drag and drop to organise apps into folders on your Home screens and get fast access to your favourites.
iBooks
More than a full-colour ebook reader, iBooks is also an amazing place to browse and shop for books anytime you feel like it.2 It works with PDFs that you can sync using iTunes on your Mac or PC. And you can customise iBooks to suit the way you read — adjust the brightness, change the text size and more.
Phone
On iPhone, making a call is as simple as tapping a name or number. And Visual Voicemail lets you play messages in any order — just like email.

Score 2.0/10It's APPLE!
It has a built in music player (ipod) but you can't simply assign a track as a ringtone like every other phone I've had.
You have to use iTunes which doesn't always pick up album art.
If you're used to:
organising your photo's into folders forget it!
copy & paste - forget it!
drag & drop - forget it!
Although it has a built in GPS it doesn't work as a sat-nav unless you buy an app.
Honest opinion - Most over hyped product ever. Don't waste your money!!! Glad the one I have is through work & I'm not paying the bill.
