- Good points:
- Reviewer left no comment
- Bad points:
- ILife wasn't ready installed, and the Applications DVD doesn't actually say what is on it. I had already got some of the applications working by the time I noticed IlIfe wasn't there, and couldn't see whether installing the DVD would overwrite what I'd done. Other than that, all was fine.

- Good points:
- Quality build and design. Enhanced security because its a Mac. Stunning visual display. Fast responses. Software is excellent and provides facilities not available elsewhere.
- Bad points:
- Not easy to set up for a person with average computer skills. However once your on board - this is the best there is.

- Good points:
-
Superb screen. Very fast. Bought for image processing (DxO, PTgui, Photoshop software), which works very well.
Does not crash regularly like Windows. Does not need regular tidying-up like Windows - Bad points:
- Slightly odd to get used to after years of Windows. Canon printer appears to have more limited capability than under Windows

Manufacturer's Description
LED backlighting. One bright idea
Full brightness with no waiting. That’s the big advantage of the LED-backlit iMac display. Unlike most displays that take time to warm up before they reach maximum brightness, an LED-backlit display is instantly on and uniformly bright. LED backlighting also gives you greater control over screen brightness. So you can finely tune the iMac display to suit the ambient light in even the dimmest room
More pixels. Better picture
The new iMac offers some prime pixel real estate. The 21.5-inch, 1920-by-1080 display has 17 per cent more pixels than the previous 20-inch iMac. The 27-inch, 2560-by-1440 display has a whopping 78 per cent more pixels than the 21.5-inch iMac. And a 1000:1 contrast ratio gives you more vibrant colours and blacker blacks. All that in a widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio — the same as an HD TV
Now available with quad-core power
The 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models offer fast Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 3.33GHz. Quad-core power comes to the 27-inch iMac with a 2.66GHz Intel Core i5 processor or 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor. Four cores deliver up to 2x faster performance for just about everything you do: managing your photos, editing HD video, even playing graphics-intensive 3D games.¹ And since Mac OS X Snow Leopard is designed to take full advantage of Intel dual- and quad-core architectures, you get theb fastest performance possible.
