+ Great sound from this little beast of an ipod player! Good solid base even at high volumes. Recommended over the BOSE, it's half the cost and just as good.

+ Great Looks, Fantastic Sound Quality - as good as BOSE but at half the price. I tested both and I have to say the Altec is hightly recommended, you will not be disapointed.

+ Great sound quality, sounds good at higher volumes, looks good and very simple to use. Not as heavy as I had been led to believe. Remote control does have additional buttons to adjust treble and bass which a lot of other similarly priced ipod speakers do not have. I spent some time researching the speaker I wanted to buy and have not been disappointed! I am very impressed with it!

- Remote control is a bit on the small side, so could be easily misplaced. I found the range of the remote control to be okay (compared to some other reviews I have read) although a little intermittent, probably to do with the placement of the sensor. The ipod cradle is a little delicate, so care needs to be taken and it could do with a volume display too.

+ really clear sound quality with no distortion even with the volume turned up.

- no real negatives.

+ Big beefy sound whilst still playing clearly at low volume levels and retaining the high notes

- Remote control doesn't really control anything other than volume or prev/next track on my iPod, but that's a small price to pay given the sound for the price

+ Sound is great, really meaty - can crank it up and still sounds good particularly the bass
