Advent QC6003 PC Reviews: Computer

+ Speed and visual quality. I use this machine for video editing, 3D graphic design, animation, audio studio work and full AV/Media production, including CADD and Digital Typesetting. The system is very responsive and copes well with the heavy demands made via this multi-tasking "Pro-user" environment. The workload can include simultaneously running MATLAB, Vegas Pro, Visual Studio 2008 and production support scheduling. All this and superb audio/video entertainment quality ... the Advent QC6003 is a dream machine.

- The machine has not been in operation for very long (since it is a very recent purchase) but to date, I have not experienced any bad points.

- Key board not English so couldn't find half of the keys

+ good fast pc

- had to buy a different monitor cable as had the wrong cable type

+ good base unit and capable of running most everyday tasks.

- I bought the unit to upgrade to a second gaming machine but the small case size and motherboard design caused overheating problems when i fitted a 9800GT 1gig geforce card, sorted now, but caused some issues initially.

+ Fast delivery, Very fast PC, It will do most of what a want for a home PC

- Outer box (cosmetics) It looks like a second hand PC

+ Fast machine without too much bloatware

- Having no info on the monitor connections meant some effort to get things set up

+ fast and straightforward

- remember that you need to connect everything via USB and no other cables will do so you need connectors if you have old monitor or printer- and PC world is a rip for these items

+ Good computer had now problems

- tower design and on the front of the computer theres a sticker for support but it sends you throught to a completely different place it cann't be the right number

+ Excellent value - and very fast.. I bought the recon box and manuals etc were missing, but I kind of expected that anyway!

- none really - just be aware that it is a 64 bit machine.

+ Computer received in good condition and easy to set up.

- Only complaint is with the keyboard where two keys have the wrong upper case symbol. Also with the keyboard the white lettering on the keys has started to rub off after only three weeks.

- It came with the wrong sockets, mouse & keypad had PSP sockets & the tower won't have those sockets, it was really a waste of my time...

+ Easy to set up. Does what it says in the advert.

- USB ports cover unnecessary

- The slide down door to access the different memory card slots is cheap and feels likely to fail mechcanically very soon.
