+ As indicated above I am really impressed with this product, as it fulfilled all that I required of it extremely well. Taking a Notebook (Laptop) on holiday is of particular interest to me and this one proved a great asset, being so light and compact. Once I'd learned the whereabouts of keys that were marginally different from my PC, I was able to word process speedily. I was particularly keen to download up to 200 digital photos daily and this it did with remarkable speed.

- None that I discovered, though a longer battery life would be of benefit on occcasions.

+ This netbook is small and lightweight yet copes well with all my needs.

+ Absolute bargain, bought this for my wife's birthday and decided to go for a net-book as we already have two computers in the house so no need for an optical drive. Wanted it for straight forward web access and to communicate via skype with our daughter who's off to university. The built in web cam and mic made it easy for my wife to use.Can't say I have any great experience of net-books but I think I expected this to be slower. I am pleased to say it's not, very impressed as is my wife which means major brownie points for me off so off for a pint. If you want something portable for straight forward web browsing you won't be disappointed with this.

- Terrible battery life with the 3 cell battery makes this pretty much pointless.
Even getting a much larger batter (9 cell) only brings it on par with other i.e. Samsung laptops.

+ I hsd two, the first was stollen but while I had it everything was fine. That's why I went for a replacement. Decent spec, good keyboard, blue tooth and wireless.

- Would not boot up under power, could not make recovery disc and while doing that died. Then had to go through a pain to get my money back (still don't have it). Build in mobile / SIM and better battery life would make it a really great package. The advents that do have a build in mobile broadband SIM slot has a poor keyboard

- WEB CAM IS A PROBLEM AND THE WIRELESS NETWORK IS NOT VERY GOOD.

+ Size aids portabillity, does simple things well e.g. internet, email, music, photos, even watching digital freeview via USB tuner. Wifi and bluetooth connectivety along with USB and support for SD cards etc. makes this really versatile. Excellent as an additional laptop.

- Seems to be a general problem with this product, from what I can see looking around internet forums, though no one seems to have joined the dots and realised that it must surely be a product-specific issue - the machine will not work from battery alone, but has to be plugged in (mine worked with the battery once, and never since). As I say, I have searched for this problem online and found many people who have the same problem, but no one responding seems to have noticed that it is a specific complaint with this particular product.

+ It's great - I had it set up with all my programs in no time using a cheap external cd writer that I bought from PC World. I find the speed and performance perfectly acceptable and being able to use Windows XP that I'm totally familiar with is so useful. It's light and flash looking - a must to show off to my friends.

- The battery life is not brilliant but most of the time I'm able to plug it into the mains so it hasn't been such a disadvantage.

+ I already had one Advent 4211 (MSI Wind) and knew what I was getting. It's an excellent netbook - the only draw-back is the miserably-sized battert - but larger non-OEM ones are easily obtained on EBay. For rather better overall performance, upgrading the memory to 2GB is a smart move.

+ This Netbook is excellent for many things. Do not be fooled by the size of the machine because the performance is also excellent. I recommend installing Windows 7 on it because the performance is harnessed is very well. The harddrive is very big for a netbook which allows alot of expansion.

- no cd drawer which is a downside and the programs that are standard on most laptops or notebooks are not on this. a basic program windows photo gallery is missing therefore there is no where to story my photos.

+ This is a great machine for a real bargain price - sign up to topcashback and there's even a 3% cashback rebate to be had. It's smart, easy to use, great picture and does everything you'd want of a netbook.

- As you'd expect battery life isn't exceptional - generally around 2 hours. The Function key is positioned in the "wrong" place which takes some getting used to. When watching streaming video online the machine can't cope on battery life, but if you hook it up to the mains it behaves impeccably.

- There is a small issue with wireless connection driver (even with latest drivers and latest BIOS). Wireless connection hangs up when netbooks is folded being working. On the following unfolding the netbook, wireless connection disappear and wireless connection icon in system tray does not respond. After restart of Windows, everything is working.
