+ Excellent screen and keyboard.
Very portable, but usable.
Fast enough to work on the move.

- A little bigger and heavier than some netbooks.
Battery life is only 2 hours.
Fn and Ctrl keys are around the wrong way!

+ Fantastic value for money. I'm a long time Apple user, and even I must admit that this combination of price and quality is superb. Excellent build quality and a stable OS go to make this a step above the normal netbook.

- Battery life is a bit sparse, but this baby is light!

+ Neat and compact, also comes with Windows XP and not Vista, which is a plus.

+ The advent 4211 is a very fast, and easyto use piece of kit, its easy to connect to wireless and has a large hard drive capacity of 80GB, considering that most netpads are usually below 20GB. the battery life is quite good, the battery saving mode is pretty handy too allowing extra time at the cost of lowering the brightness of the screen etc.

- the web cam isn't that amazing, and the microphone is only good for picking up voice, (as i play bass/guitar this was a little bit frustrating).

+ Compact, reasonably light, keys large and responsive, good clear screen - also good in strong light, quick start up. Works superbly with Windows XP which it came bundled with. Overal very, very easy to use and looks and feels good.

- 2200 battery only gives 1hr 45 min use. Lid cover could do with a simple lock and why is it not sold with a simple dust-proof protective case?

+ Really good keyboard size and layout, all the bells and whistles, good webcam all the latest drivers and software.great for working on the move, in meetings, perfect for me at school. fits into pretty much all bags, even plays multimedia no problem. Windows XP runs a dream on it and enable most programs to run without any issues.

- if you are trying to use the laptop for multimedia editing or graphics editing then dont bother, the processor is just not up for it and the laptop as a whole is not designed for it.

Screen is a good size and the keyboard remarkably good for such a little machine. I've watched DVDs on it with an external USB CD drive, so the graphics are okay unless you want to play graphic-heavy games, and you wouldn't buy a netbook for that.
It's really lightweight, even for a netbook, so you hardly know it's on your lap!

- Perfect, except for one thing: The Ctrl button is to the right of the Fn button, which makes shortcuts difficult to use.

+ Small light and neat, it has a good keyboard and is fast enough for emails and general web browsing.

- No hard copy manual supplied and the wrong PDFD one installed on the hard-drive so learning to use the kit is guesswork and asking the net. I did not find it easy to download a Recovery Back Up.

+ A good design with a good size screen. Built in everthing, bluetooth Wi-Fi and webcam so it really is self contained. 3 USB ports and a card reader that does read XD. 1.6 mhz Intel Atom 1gb Ram, runs xp quite quick

+ This is an ideal product for browsing the internet and performing limited tasks. Its size makes it especially useful for just picking up and moving around the house with (have not used it on the move yet). Its design is compact and ergonomic, I did have misgivings about the screen size, but after a couple of minutes use you do not even notice it. I bought a reconditioned model, but I have to say when it arrived it was brand new. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this product as a back up to your main PC.

- The only bad point I have is that when its not plugged in the battery runs out quite fast

- occaisonaly cannot connect to internet but if you take battery off for 30 secs then replace it it works fine.

- Can't think of any to do with the laptop itself. Would be handy to have a carry case with it. The one I bought (up to 15" screen) is still far too big.
