Good points:
Very neat and compact - performance is excellent - not too sure about Windows 7 (I did like Windows XP) but I am navigating my way through it as it is very different to XP and I am sure that once I have got to grips with it it will be OK.

As for Acer laptops they are brill - I would recommend buying any of their range
Bad points:
I can't seem to find any bad points at all

Good points:
Keyboard. It has large square keys with a light, positive action. Unlike many laptop keyboards it is comparable to using a separate, desktop-style keyboard. Much better than the 'waterproof-style' keys that so many laptops have.

Screen. At 17"" it is big enough to be useable and to have 2 widows open at the same time. Also bright with good colours. The angle of view is excellent horizontally. It's less good vertically but all you have to do is change tile of the screen. Not a problem for a laptop user.

Bad points:
Can't think of anything that's a real letdown. If I was a student or peripatetic worker carrying it around a lot I'd be concerned about the delicacy of the plastic case but as I bought it to use in and around the home It doesn't really matter.

Good points:
i bought this machine having read Which recommendation, so far i have been very impressed. At the start pages kept jumping backwards and forward irritating me, but i thimk its only very sensitive to touch and i find tapping on the page i am using (not an advert but a space with nothing in it stabilises the page and often stop the pages flicking back and forth. So far so good, but i would appreciate a manual and a product key numberas standard.
Bad points:
flicking from page to page, no product key for windows office and a manual. A bit heavy.

Good points:
size of screen - speed, particularly when starting up, the built-in webcam, amount of various sockets. I have yet to use anything other than the "basics" on this laptop at present, but I'm not expecting to be disappointed with anything ( and everything ) this machine can do. WELL IMPRESSED !
Bad points:
Only when pushed for a 'bad point' maybe, the battery life could be improved on.
