stand is not very sturdy got to be careful near the t.v. found with a small child that is not very suitable as i feel it may fall on my child. |
Feels a little flimsy |
The user manual was not very clear. Disappointed with the low resolution when connected to a PC. The manual needs to be much clearer about how a PC comnnection is made. The blue light on the front when in standby is too bright. With the touch controls can be a little awkward but overall I feel are a nice feature. |
initial set up was very straight forward. we are very happy with the quality of the product. we feel it is good value for money |
Fabulous picture. Warm colours. Dark blacks and natural feel to moving images. Unbeatable for the price. Grab one while you can. |
the best tv i have ever seen, i feel in love with it the first time i see it |
remote feels a little cheap, but not a big issue.manual on a CD only a problem if you do not have a PC |
The look and feel is stylish, the sound and picture is top notch. |
It was not compatible with our video and DVD recorder... when this was used the image was a sickly green hue. There was no problem with the machine on our old television (which died), or our spare one, but when connected to an HD ready tv it did this. I feel that mention should be made about compatibility, as I've now had to spend rather a lot of money buying a new DVD recorder and video. |
Remote a bit plastic feeling |
does not feel like it has been made well Keeps losing signal quality, other TV on the same areial does not have this problem Misses Channels on scanning overall not a good buy, but at this price you get what you pay for |
Remote control, the programme change and volume being in the centre, not easy to use in dim light. Would be alot better at the sides of the control, as a lot of people have this size for their bedrooms and therefore they could feel these control better in the dark. |
The remote could have been designed a little better, the plastic looks & feels a little cheap. A gloss finish would have been better. |
none really. but feel I need to link up to cinema surround for a great sound |
Feels very slightly wobbly on it's base. |
the tv itself does feel very flimsy on its pedastel. |
Plastic style feel on screen. HDMI on the side of TV rather than all three on the back. No on/off switch, only option is to have on standby or pull out the plug. |
Very happy with purchase, Smart design, easy to set up, picture quality excellent and although some other reviews said the sound is not good, ours is fine. Would definately recommend and would feel encouraged to buy Samsung again. |
More expensive than was hoping to pay, but still feel that I have value for money. |
the stand feels cheap |
stylish, compact with a quality look and feel above its price bracket. |
slight flimsy feel to the base |
A visual treat. The design is wonderful and has a feel of quality. The picture is great too, although mine had to 'bed in' for about 8 hours of viewing before it seemed to tighten up into great detail. |
Have not real come across any major bad points, would like to update the firmware on the TV as there is an update for this TV but I have to wait for LG to put out the automatic update on the airwaves to get it, would prefer a system I could update manually. The LG HT503 PH Home Cinema DVD player is set to region 2 which does not help as I feel all DVD players should be region free. |
Poor 'feel' to buttons on the remote. I would like to be able to swith it off rather than have to leave it on stand-by all the time. VERY limited horizontal viewing angle. Really annoying! This appears to be a feature of LCD TV's that you need to pay closer attention to than I did! It is the one negative that prevents me recommending others to purchase it. |
I feel my 422 set has a better picture. |
Base feels insecure and looks little outdated. |
Lovely TV ..crisp image ,good sound , looks good and has a quality feel ... very pleased with the purchase |
The picture is exceedingly clear when walking in the room every one comments on it. We feel we are actually right there in the picture. |
Watching a film you feel as though you are in it! As for any food programmes - the images are fantastic. |
tv only goes into stand by have to change settings to power saver or unplug it tv feels very warm on the top even if its been on for twenty minutes gets very dusty really quickly found it a bit difficult to use swivle the screen around |
Samsung can always be relied on for excellent quality products. I already have a 32" Samsung LCD TV and feel it is well worth the extra cost to invest in a Samsung product. The TV looks excellent wall mounted, particularly as the speakers are not visible, giving a cleaner look. The HD picture quality is absolutely fantastic. |
Sound lacking a stereo feel to it, due to new design of hidden speakers. |
Amazing look and feel, heats my wee room right up. Easy to use, plenty of inputs easy to set up.... all round jaw dropping goodness |
Wonderful clear, bright picture. So easy to set up and use. Feels like being at the cinema. DVD viewing is now transformed and we also enjoy looking at our digital pictures using the inbuilt SD card reader. |
This is a great product, I love watching the natural world wilod animals, birds, mountains, sea in fact everything as this tele makes you feel you are there. Fantastically easy to set up with the plug recognition nand for me 32" is just the right size for my house or any house I'm likely to be in. My daughter, best friend and I all bought one on the same day and we all think it was our best purchase in a TV yet. |
The menu is too basic, the image is great but it has to be adjusted for any non-1080p input devices. Sound is okay for general TV but it is quite dull and tinny. The construction and feel of materials is below average. There are no hand grips anywhere on the back of the TV making it impossible to safely mount this on a wall with only one man. |
great value for money and it is very beautiful and elegant, love the sound feels like im at the cinema!! |
Superb image quality. HD is breathtaking. Even SD is good when viewed using Freesat. Definately worth getting Plasma - far fewer artifact problems than on LCD. The black level is also far better than on LCD. I have waited until now for the manufacturers as the Panasonic plasma has surpassed my expectations. I also feel that Freesat is the way forwards. |
Picture does not appear as contrasty as spec suggests unless carefully tweaked. When properly set up display is excellent but overall brightness slightly limited. On switch-on, set runs at a higher brightness for a few minutes - presumably until the panel reaches running temperature - and this may annoy some users. Remote control is functional but has a lightweight feel. |
Look & Feel Films picture quality |
The shiny border attracts dust. I feel like I'm polishing the gloss black every day. |
Looks very good and has a quality feel about it. Picture quality is great. |
Cheap feeling tv stand without swivel. |
Sound system disappointing On/Off switch feels delicate Picture looks dark when screen first switched on after 5mins OK |
It is elegant, stylish and provides a wonderful family home cinema feel. Overall its great. |
Easy to set up, easy to use. Good sound. Quality feel. |
I always point the remote control the wrong way when I dont look at it, It feels like it should go the other way ! lol |
I wanted a plain discreet black TV to wall mount which it what I got and the installation couln't have been easier. I feel the TV looks much more expensive than it was. The picture is great and no separate freeview box/cables to plug in. Exactly what I wanted! |
When watching a Blu-Ray DVD it feels as though the people in the movie are in the room with us.. it's incredible. The Last Samurai is a perfect example. |
electronic programming guide is slow and not initially user friendly. The remote feels a bit cheap compared to other equivalent models (e.g. Sony) |
Remote control feels a bit cheap but works well. |
I love the picture quality, it is terrific but the sound quality is the best feature, it is stunning! It is the first TV I've had with a graphic equaliser and I don't need a sub-woofer to feel the floor vibrating. This is the best piece of technology I have ever bought. |
Beautiful design. Feels fairly well made. Really good menu system. Certainly has better look and feel of quality than budget Sony models. For an LCD TV, pretty good image. |
Signal fuzzy sometimes but have feeling that more to do with the ariel than the television itself |
Sound quality is not quite as good as its competitors. However, I feel it is worth paying half the price and losing a bit of sound quality. |
Excellent TV - best picture I've seen todate and gives a 3-d feeling to everything I'm watching |
The stand for the 32 inch looks and feels very cheap and tacky compared to that of the 37 inch toshiba but once its been fixed on looks ok. |
No bad points i would really feel strong enough about to put you off this set. Some find the (always on) blue LED light a bit annoying but you can turn it down in the menu and can't say i've found it distracting at all. There is some light bleed in around the edges in very dark scenes, probably only noticed it because it was mentioned in other reviews. |
Poor quality feel to the remote No auto switch (Scart Control) to new input when device switched on Poor audio quality no bass from the speakers - sounds a lilttle hollow Picture takes some adjustment to get SD broadcasts looking good, HD looks great however out box |
Absolutely perfect. With the PS3 for games and blu-ray for movies the picture is perfect. Sound is crystal clear picking up every noise detail. I have always been impressed by Sony and feel they are the best offering cost, quantity and quality. |
we feel the sound quality isn't quite what we expected, but improves the louder you have it. would love to buy a cinema sound system to enhance it, |
So far, a great picture and viewing experience, what more can I say - it does exactly what it's meant to and what we expected, it gives a real cinema feel to viewing. |
Large screen size and excellent sound gives a very live feel to your viewing. |
DVD player cover feels a bit flimsy |
Sound is not in the same league as the picture, however this is not an issue to me personally as I use an AV amp but I feel it might deter others who contemplate purchase. |
Lightweight remote control that feels cheap. |
Only that the on off button feels a little flimsy |
This tv is well worth the money. You get the feeling that the tv is actually slightly too good for the picture that it is trying to show on standard digital. Fantastic for films with a surround sound system. |
excellent picture , stylish sleek design , very good quality build (including remote, which has a nice feel).Plenty of connections for dvd, hard disc recorder & home cinema etc |
a 32" isn't much more, so feels quite expensive. Great TV for the bedroom. |
Newer models come out so frequently with the added ports and better contrast ratio's which is a bit depressing to see, but I don't feel too disheartened as the TV still fits my needs just fine. |
Power off button does not feel as sturdy and quality than the rest of the tv. |
Remote has a cheap look and feel compared to the set. |
None really but if I was being really picky, your sometimes left feeling that the whites could be brighter. Somehow it always seems a little duller than it should be if the image is of a bright day. Funny because people always seem to mention blacks as the colour plasmas struggle with but in that department the TV is excellent, but could just be that my contrast is set at 75% |
I am so please with my tv and surround sound, its everything I wanted. the picture is perfect and the sound is outstanding. when watching dvd's you feel like you are on set it is that clear. |
The key to getting the best picture out of this TV, is to watch it with some ambient light in the room, which is the way I like to watch TV. If you like to watch TV in total darkness, you'd be better off going for the Kuro Plasma range. But with a little light in the room, this LCD TV, gives fantastic blacks and beautiful colours. Coupled with an excellent inbuilt freeview tuner, this is the best LCD TV image I've seen sofar. The shiney glass finish on the LCD panel, gives it CRT "feel". It is a perfect replacement for my Sony Trinitron, but of course with Hi-def abilitys |
Sound slightly lets it down. My old TV spoiled me some what as it had great sound and speakers built in. After having this for a few weeks now, I will consider buying either home cinema or an amp and external speakers to boast sound quality and output. Your wife pointing out the fact the picture wasn't any better than our last TV, and she thought it would be HD? Then feeling small explaining that you have to subscribe to HD to receive HD pictures - to which she replied why buy an HD TV then.... she had a point! Note to HD providers - Bring your prices down so wives and girlfriends can't make us blokes feel stupid!! |
Looks great. I don't have a HD source yet but the picture quality from a distance is fine. Sky HD will sort that! The set sits well back in the corner of my room and takes up much less space that my old 36" CRT tv. There ar loads of settings available and I haven't quite found the best all round setting, but it is easy to change from sport to movies. Very easy to install and set up. Has a top quality feel to it |
Great Looks and Great feeling of Quality |
very sharp picture - feels almost like 3D |
The only bad point which I can think of is the sound quality which although rather good, misses some of the more "bassy" sections of music, film and television sounds. However, I'm sure with tweaking within the menus more (which I haven't yet explored properly), the sound quality is more than likely to improve. Also, it is general consensus that television speakers aren't always the best quality sound, as people are more likely to have a different setup for their sound. Saying that, I do feel that the sound quality of the Samsung is more than adequate for the price. |
Terrestrial tv (1-5) poor picture and grainy and never used as Freeview is PERFECT picture quality Attracts fine white dust like crazy although this can only be seen at unwatchable angles anyway, and not all the time Can't seem to turn it off standby (Red Light) apart from the wall but that's probably a user error on my behalf! Putting the stand on was a nerve wracking balancing act on my own and 2 bottom screws didn't feel like they were housed fully however on closer inspection the bottom set are not as deeply recesed as the top ones. Wait and get a mate to help! |
An extremely good all round TV. In a weak reception area, the freeview reception is outstanding; over the last month the signal has never dropped out. The TV guide is always on line, which was not the case with my previous freeview box. The 1080p makeover facility from a standard DVD is well worth the extra expense; old films take on a new lease of life. The TV seems to be well build, and has a solid, quality feel. Overall, I am very pleased with the TV |
Losing ALL the channels on a regular basis Turns itself on whenever it feels like it |
Looks and feels quality. |
Still haven't used TV at full 1080p, however the image quality of the built-in Freeview channels is superb. The remote control is fairly easy to use (certainly in par with other makes I've used - Pioneer, Sharp). The unit feels robust, looks good and provides many external connections (e.g., hdmi, SCART, composite...). |
I love the TV - just feel the resolutiuon is not quite as sharp as I excpected. However, still a great picture!! |
I feel the appearance of the television when not in use could be better and less obtrusive |
Picture quality is excellent and if you feel inclined to tinker with the settings you can make it even better. Even though the screen is big the black surround and screen lets the TV blend into the background when you are not using it. HDMI inputs useful for high quality connection to (for example) Media Centre PC. |
This is a classy looking tv with a sophisticated image and size. Great remote with a feel good factor. |
Picture quality is superb even when not using hdmi input. Design is sleek and uncluttered and the hidden speaker adds to the overall look and feel of the unit |
Picture quality excellent, Quality look and feel of the product. |
only a minor issue, but the stand doesn't feel very solid |
Remote feels a bit cheap, but does the job as long as you point it at the right spot |
On the whole an excellent picture. Contrast, colour, feeling of depth, clarity are all as good - or better as I have seen on any LCD tv. I think the full HD does make a difference. With the correct settings a great sense of natural colour. I have it partnered with a Virgin+ box - which upscales all TV to 1080i with great results. |
switching hdmi channels should be as easy as switching TV channels, but it isn't and takes longer (not really a problem but if you are already switching between DVD and xbox its not as easy as going from bbc1 to itv. the 100Mhz makes the picture SO good it feels like we are on the set and sometimes has to be disabled otherwise it feels like being part of the film crew!! |
Excellent and clear visual quality, especially in HD with and HDMI DVD player. Feels and looks solid. |
good quality, HD picture, great for playing my HD camcorder movies. I'm very pleased with it - does everything i wanted. Feels high quality |
Over all we i feel its a fantastic TV .Very stylish and sleek so very happy that we purchased the TV,we do like LG items. |
The sound is disappointing. If you feel that this is one of the most important aspects of a TV for you then I would suggest that you look for another tv or a sound system to compliment it |
Sound quality could be better, and a slightly plasticky feel. |
sound is very poor which i feel lets the tv down |
Excellent picture quality even on low quality video feeds. Simple setup and installation. Quality feel to the tv and the remote control. |
Smart design, no tacky feel at all |
As I use a surround system with subwoofer for my Audio, the sound of this TV feels quite thin to me... but I guess it's all about what you're used to! |
Very easy to set up with easy to read instructions. Nice to have it in black I feel it gives a better background to the images. |
The picture, once you've tweaked it a tiny bit, is awesome. Wihout a doubt the best TV I've owned since the CRT I had in the early 90s. It doesn't just feel like a box that shows pictures, it feels like something that adds to your living room. It also has more connections than anyone but the most radical cinema fanatic/gamer could ever need |
on/off switch in the wrong place when tv is being used with table top stand. The remote is balanced when using the numeric keypad but seems to be uncomfortable when using the tele text buttons and channel/vol controls. The direction buttons at the top also feel uncomfortable. |
Looks and feels a quality product - and in action, it is. Set up is fast and as easy as can be. |
Lovely picture. Had no problems with it - it was super easy to set up. Lots of connections for gadgets (games consoles, compuer etc.). Looks nice. Feels sturdy. I even get some of the freeview channels (even though I'm not supposed to have it my area yet!) |
If you are using this TV in a small room you will feel the heat that it gives off, However this could be an advantage in the winter! The only other problem is that if you have been watching a program like GMTV it leaves the gmtv logo on the screen, You can however remove this with the built in burn protection screen cleaner. |
This TV has a nice picture and its design is very good, build quality is also good, its not got a cheap feel to it like some other sets. This is the 5th Samsung TV I have bought for myself and family. |
We feel that this television is one of the best looking on the market at the moment and gives excellent value for money. The image quality on HD is superb and although you can suffer a poorer quality of image on the terrestial channels, this does not detract from the overall pleasure of owning this model. |
SD Quality is better than most screens out there. Nice finish on casing makes it look and feel like a quality product. |
The remote is a universal remote and can control the TV as well as DVD player, set-top box, cable and VCR. The build quality/finish is high as it doesn't feel like cheap plastic. It came with a cleaning cloth although it, surprisingly, doesn't get dusty given that it's black. More importantly, it has Freeview built-in with electronic programme guide. The initial set-up was also easy. The internal speakers are pretty powerful and more than adequate. You can freeze a picture but not the sound (obviously!).Another seemingly trivial but laudable thing is that the battery cover (for the remote control) cannot be completely detached; it is attached via a thin, transparent plastic strip. So, it's unlikley to get lost or broken when changing the batteries. |
Perfect size for sitting 2.5 - 4m away... no need for 1080 resolution at that distance with this size, everything looks sharp on HD 720 and DVD (PAL 576i) formats. Great colour vibrancy out of the box.. didn't feel the need to tweak the colour settings - something I wasn't expecting from a TV at this price as I do a lot of Graphic Design work and therefore have very strong thoughts about colour gamuts/calibration! Nice design as well, the frame isn't as wide/thick as many TVs so it looks considerably more stylish. The glossy stand looks great as well, although it tends to be a bit of a dust magnet! |
i find the sound quality a bit of a dissapointment it doesn't have a lot a variation or depth i.e. Bass to name one which is a shame. tend to have to turn it up loud to get a good sound quality and cinema surround sound feeling but lacks Bass & Treble and lacks power in this department |
only one so far is the remote control for this model of tv is not in matching with tv itself .it feels very cheap flimsy and feels it should come from a budget range of tv |
Remote is a bit plasticy and feels cheap |
Cheap feeling remote. User guide is pretty poor. I wish TV's of this quality would come with better leads, they have all be replaced. |
Very pleased with this tv. Although it seemed huge to start with, we would now hate going back to a smaller set. The picture is clear - it would benefit from surround sound but we do not feel this is essential. |
There are some bad points however, nothing to do with the TV but the switch to HDMI and Component video means my AV amp (no lipsync capabilities) must be replaced as there is time delay between the picture on the screen and the sound out of my AV system. If I was going to be picky about the TV it would be the basic imput selector, whereby you have to go through them 1 by 1 until you find the one your after, or access it from the menu, again a fairly long winded process (not as simple as it could be). Also the buttons on the remote feel cheap, but I guess this is to allow them to be illuminated by the back light more effectively. |
The picture is poor (analogue, no comment re digital) The on/off button feels very flimsy - there's also no positive audible or tangible click when switching on/off. |
Good look and feel. Picture quality good |
The on/off switch feels a little delicate and in this day and age of switching off instead of standby as it make get used quite a lot. The inability to switch between AV inputs without going into the AV menu is a mild annoyance. |
Quality look and feel about the Television, easy to use and operate. |
doesnt have same quality feel as Samsung or Sony equivalents. |
If you want a full HD TV this is the one!! HD pictures are fantastic especially watching the football and wildlife programmes. The motion plus helps here as well to keep the picture pure. The colours are just so vibrant its amazing and everyone who sees the picture is amazed by the clarity. The upscalling on SD pictures is great as well, it does a great job on Flash Gordon on the SCi Fi channel for example bringing it pretty close to what you would expect from a full HD transmision. I have seen some reviews on this TV by 'experts' who have knocked the sound quality, I am absolutely baffled by this because its great with excellent clarity and the ability to set the sound to your liking. Obviously if you want surround sound , like with all TVs, you simply buy a home cinema system although I didnt feel the need to in the end.The rose black colour just rounds off a perfect TV and my advice is if you want a 40 inch LCD TV this is the one to go for!!! |
not really a bad point but I feel it would be better if it was all black in design rather than a silver grey edging |
MINOR CRITICISM - WOULD PREFER A LESS FLIMSY FEEL TO THE REMOTE |
Nice tv...more than happy with end product, felt the price we paid was a bargain. Happy with the sound quality although we feel we need to purchase a surround sound system to fully appreciate it. |
The actual size of the television is bigger than what was first thought. Out door scenes make you feel part of the scenery. |
Sleek design with comprehensive connectivity options, excellent setup menu with one touch operation, very solid feel but discreet looking, pretty good freeview reception and programme guide, picture good ( for a LCD - nothing beats my Sony KX CRT for Freeview quality though ) |
Great picture quality - nature programs just feel like you're in there with it. |
The integrated digital freeview sometimes freezes, the digital menu is very slow and tiresome. Remote control feels and looks cheap. |
The speakers ae mounted under the screen, the surround makes the tv look and feel more expencive |
Stand does feel a little cheap and a bit of an afterthought, unable to support consol games that have to be viewed in PAL60 format. |
dont like the feel of the remote not very comfortable |
the image is poor when you watch near the screen and the sound very low. you have to raise the volume to about 21 to get it clear and audible. to see better pictures you have to watch at an angle which l feel its abit irritating especially with the amount we paid. |
Well designed. Good user manual. I feel that I have made a good choice but a bit too soon to be sure about this. |
The sound output is abysmal. Would have been better with an audio output to independent speakers. No glossy screen, I feel this would have helped both the vibrancy of colour and apparent sharpness that this could have delivered. |
TV remote feels cheap - philips always do a better job on this Free view info menu limiting |
The Contrast ratio of 1000:1 is noticable to anyone who spends far too much time in front of a TV, inparticular gamers who will notice the picture is not as sharp as some you see in the shops. For example the Samsung 40" has a contrast ratio of 8500:1. This not critically important to regular TV viewers, but for gamers just be aware that it might be worth trying to view a unit with a similar contrast before purchasing. The sound from the unit is very basic and doesn't give an immersive feel, but it is clear. |
The screen is very clear even at a short distance away, unlike some LCD's I have seen. I like the energy saving programs that have been installed and it was very easy to set up. Its great for playing the Wii on the characters are vey clear and of a good size. The size of the screen suited my average sized room and it seems to give more detail to whatever you are viewing. You feel drawn into the picture. |
The look and feel of a quality product, at a very reasonable price, with outstanding options and performance. |
The stand may be a little flimsy - neck narrow to TV and secures at back only. Don't apply any pressure to the top of the TV (for example, holding the top to get a purchase on TV while pushing scart sockets into the back). Feels a little unsafe at the point of TV screen stand to screen. |
I felt that the standard quality tv was a bit pixelated - preferred the analogue image on a CRT, but I get the feeling that this is true of all largeish flat screens. Definitely no obvious bad points. |
When fitting wall bracket to TV did nt feel very secure, but once on wall seems ok. |
The manual is useless, it is through trial and error that you master the tv. It dosn't have a button to turn it off and if you turn it off at the mains it will not record. It is fine if you are home and record on standby but if you were to go away for weeks I would not feel I could leave it on standby. |
very pleased with the tv, had done a bit of reserch and this was one that had been recommended, picture very sharp feel you are there some times. Looks good in the front room too. |
Remote control feels a little basic and could do with a style overhaul Remote control power button needs holding down for about 3 secs to turn on (from Stand-by) Aspect ratio sometimes leaves missing detail on far left/right off screen |
Picture quality is excellent. You feel you can almost touch whatever is on the screen. Sound is very clear. TV looks good and controls are easy to understand and use. |
Build quality feels very slightly low rent |
We are unable to alter the colour quality (which we feel is too strong, which is a personal choice thing) as there are limited options. all of them being factory set. Each time we switch the set on we have to change the ext. as it does not stay on the sky channel. |
Only 2 Scarts,Remote Long and clumsy feel, usual Lcd tv fault Dark(black) images appear patchy and old tv shows look very rough due to image intensity .. |
Huge, high quality TV for very reasonable price! We feel like we're at the movies, except the picture qualities better! |
Always having bought Sony in the past it would really have to be an outstanding product to make the change. This TV certainly did not make me regret my purchase and move from Sony. Quality of both sounds and picture is perfect. Great amount of inputs and if you have not yet jumped to HD, watching a standard sky input you will not be disappointed. Ambilight feature, superb - but dont expect to get a true feel in your local store, if you need to see a demo just type in ambilight in to youtube.com |
Remote control, fiddly and not responsive. Feels cheaply made in contrast to the TV. |
Great clear picture. Really easy to set up. It feels bigger than it is but takes up a fraction of the space. |
Picture quality is superb both with DVD playback and digital HD sources. You will immediately notice the difference over a normal CRT screen, colours are vibrant and well defined with the black images very well represented. Sound quality is excellent with several different settings including bass enhancement and surround effects. The case of the TV is presented in a shiny piano black finish and really adds to the quality feel of the unit. |
Excellent standard definition quality, quality looks & feel |
great design that has a quality feel. better than most at this size and the value for money makes it a no brain er. |
the remote control is a complete waste of time it only work when it feels like it |
Internal speakers rubbish, but I put it all through an AV Receiver so this is of no consequence to me. Design much better than previous models. The double scanning technology (movie plus or something) is rubbish - I never use it as the picture is very grainy and I feel the price of the TV is let down because it is based on the this 'latest' Samsung technology that is a waste of time. Great general TV though not sure the movie technology competes as well as Bravia (for which you pay more !). Slow remote controle response. |
remote control unit feels cheap, ruins ship for eightpenneth of tar |
im not at all impressed with the time it takes to turn over from the remote control, i feel it is as slow as when the first remote was introduced |
Good SD picture but depends on source. Fantastic HD picture. Great quality sound for an LCD. Easy to navigate menus. Good quality feel to the TV including the stand. Can get good black levels after tweaking. 100Hz - Good for sports viewing. Highly recommended. |
Very good design except maybe that when placed on the stand it feels as if it could be a little unsteady |
Image great - feels 3D almost! Product was extremely simple to set up - unpackage and switch on. Had built in speakers, so works without additional surround sound (though that can be added). |
The good pts are it's stylish, elegant, the graphics are awesome, and when your watching a movies it feels as thou your at the cinema. |
Looks and feels like a solid product |
It's not flash (but then it might have features that I don't use) - it's just got a feel of quality about it, and the independant reviews seemed to praise the picture quality. |
I have feelings that the on / off button is not man enough. Hope Im wrong |
Good sound especially when watching films feels like you're there. |
Mind bogglingly good value for money. Have you looked at the prices of other 60in sets?!?!?! With a HD source this set is absolutely amazing. It is a truly vast screen, and really gives a cinema feel. It makes my 42 inch set look like a portable! |
The software for using Freeview is not as good as it could be - you can't browse through the details of what programmes are on other channels without moving to that channel. The look and feel of the software could be a lot better. |
Feel of remote control - odd shape |
Not full HD. Table top stand is feels a little "cheap" compared to overall procduct. |
Although HD Ready I had to buy a scat lead to enable sound and then a surround system so all in all quite expensive. I feel this should have been explained at time of purchase.I later found out only Philip,s are like this. |
The picture is fantastic, really good detail even on Standard definition, I haven't used it on full 1080P high defintion as yet as I don't have a player to put through it. Great design, gloss black edge just gives it that stylish expensive feel to it. The Sound is pretty good too, no distortion, just good quality sound.Easy to set up, easy to use, simply perfect. |
remote feels a bit cheap |
Easy set up, smooth picture with no evident motion jitter. Contrast is excellent and colours are rich and deep. The design of this screen is classy and the build quality feels solid. |
Bought a high quality bracket and now feel reassured it won't fall off the wall. |
Looks very good, good sound, games look amazing, and blu-ray makes you feel like your in the cinema with 1080p input. |
I am highly delighted with the quality of this lcd tv the clarity of the picture is very good indeed, the black is black and not grey as it appears on many competitiors which i find very important i there is nothing more annoying than looking at what i call a milky screen !! It does occasionallly pixalate but not too often. overall i feel we got one of the better lcd tv s on the market today. |
i purchased this tv for my bedroom and it is absolutely ideal. the picture quality is excellent and i feel this tv is excellent value for money. sleek black design so also a fairly good looking tv. |
Sound isn't so great for this tv, I am considering surround sound to get the benefit of the whole cinema feel. The remote control is a bit cheap looking for the price of the TV. Would have thought it could have been made a bit more expensive looking at least. |
Magnificient 47" makes me feel like I'm at the cinema sitting in my lounge. Picture fantastic, and the flat screen makes it easy to fit into a corner. |
The picture and sound quality are very good. It is stylish and gives a warm feel with the "Ambilight". The "Ambilight" changes colour with the background on the screen, which we didn't realise, but this is a good feature. |
Sound quality on tv is not as good as I would have expected it has an echoey feel and poor bass, but with a little patience on the equaliser I managed to get it to an acceptable quality, I use my cinema system most of the time so not a problem to me. The remote does not illuminate enough buttons when lit up. |
Picture quality is excellent, vivid sharp and fresh you almost feel your there particularly when upscaled to 1080i !! Sleek and stylish design in piano black finnish is great. The remote works very well and has a light for use in the dark. Built in freeview works well. Good connectivity for my dvd cinema system, cable box and xbox. |
There are no bad points about the actual T.V. but the remote controll sadley feels of low quality, and not designed to be in your hand because it has sharp corners. |
really sharp clear picture. good sound. the automatic tuner is great and found loads of channels as it has freeview built in. excellent design of tv and remote, looks and feels like it is high quality. |
Bit creaky and feels unstable when pushed back or forward when on its stands, great at collecting every particle of dust in the room, needs to be dusted every day. |
speakers sound blown, it does not support 1080p, the freeview looks and feels dated, the controller is cheap. |
Sound is SO appalling. So "tinny" you feel there is someting wrong with your hearing until you listen to another television. Would only reccomend for playing games on. |
can feel a little plasticky |
Sound is tinny but as its a 19" its acceptable, Samsungs are basic LCD's and the menu screens and overall feel are like those of a budget brand. If you can afford the little extra buy a sony bravia, far superior. |
constant buzzing from unit..not the speakers but from the rear of the unit..really annoying and makes you feel like you have tinnitus!! Have now replaced my 2nd replacement with a samsung lcd |
IT BROKE TWICE! I sent it back first time because the picture went Pink, you happily replaced it for me, in which within a couple of days the new one had now turned Yellow. So unfortunantly I got a refund, as i didnt feel this TV was reliable at all |
