Gadget Watch - Transparent toaster!

You may miss the bus or get splashed by white van men speeding through puddles on your way to work but one of the worst things to happen in the morning has to be over-doing your toast.

No matter how often you set that dial, someone’s always moved it by the time you use the toaster again and the result? Imperfect toast and wasted bread.

Well, worry no more. This see-thru toaster will ensure your bread is just how you like it, everytime.

Keep an eye on your bread so that you can pop it up when it looks exactly the way you like it. It currently needs a bit of tweaking but we’ll let you know when it’s available for toasting heaven!

Will it be able to toast a grilled cheese sandwhich after the tweaking?

Because I love toast. It’s cool the way it works with no wires. You can see them get brownier and brownier by seconds. It’s so cool.

No news on cost and availability as yet, Stringer & Fabio but we’ll keep you posted. And Matt, I would imagine that could get very messy!

I have been married 39 years, and I think we have had 35 toasters.
If this truly works, it would make my life easier, as my husband complains about all toasters.
I would like to be the first human to purchase this product.
As everyone else has stated, when, and where will we be able to purchase this product???

It’s not a real toaster, it came from a design contest (design as in artistic design, not engineering design).

It’s not real, nor is it likely to be. Someone would have to figure out how to build it. (and how to keep people from burning themselves on it!)
