VanityRing: Google hit count jewellery
An ego boost for the digital generation? In an ‘update of the ring as a status symbol’ Markus Kison’s VanityRing displays the wearer’s Google hit count when their name is typed into the search engine. Kison says ‘in a post information society it’s the attention you get from the world’s people that counts’, so instead of diamonds projecting the wearer’s status, the jewellery shows others that people are talking you.
