This may just be a kettle but Breville’s clever little touches ensure that it’s a kettle with a difference. The 360 degree connector base means you can replace the kettle at any angle and its rapid boil function means you won’t be standing around waiting for a cuppa for long. It also has a keep warm setting which cuts down on heating time in between boils and, as one reviewer reveals, is “great on a morning when [we’re] all getting up at slightly different times. And finally, the element, which normally gets covered in limescale, has been concealed to help the kettle last longer. These features have all proved hits with consumers, as well as its colour-changing lights and quiet-boil setting.

+ Attractively finished and generally well made with good balance for pouring and comfortable grip handle. Compliments most kitchen decor. Handy facility for keeping top-up water hot and easy flip-lid button.
- The stainless steel makes it feel a little heavy at first if you previously used an all-plastic kettle. The kettle is a little rocky on the base, especially when boiling. The flip-lid plastic release rod is very thin, so only time will tell just how long it will last.

+ The Illumination feature on this model is fanatic and everyone comments on this who walks in our kitchen- The boil mode is super and looks great in the evening when lights are low. Easy clean with on finer marks showing, as many on the market do. Super quiet fast boil. The best kettle ive seen and used, very happy with it. 10/10.

+ Quiet boil is very quiet( unless very full it gets a bit noisy at end). Stay warm great on a morning when all getting up at slightly different times
- The plastic filter inside can be knocked off when filling and is hard to put back when kettle still warm
